A full Shabbat meal, delivered to every family who needs one

Shabbat 2 Share is the food bank of 770 Moshiach Center. Every week our volunteers pack complete Shabbat meals and drive them to the doors of families across Broward County — with dignity, and free of charge.

For many families in South Florida, Shabbat is the hardest day of the week to put food on the table. Shabbat 2 Share exists so that no Jewish family in Broward County sits down to an empty table on Friday night.

Each box holds everything a family needs for a complete Shabbat: two braided challahs, grape juice for Kiddush, fish, chicken, side dishes, dessert and fresh fruit — enough for four meals. The food is prepared and packed in the kitchen of 770 Moshiach Center in Lauderhill.

The program runs entirely on the community: donors sponsor the boxes, volunteers pack them, and volunteer drivers deliver them on Thursday and Friday. A family in need simply fills in a short form; a coordinator calls back, and the first box arrives that same week.

You sponsor a box: $25 = one box = one family for a whole Shabbat (4 meals). Give once, or every week, month or year. Volunteers pack it: On Thursday our kitchen team cooks and packs the boxes at 770 Moshiach Center — challah, grape juice, fish, chicken, sides and dessert. Drivers deliver it: Volunteer drivers pick up the packed boxes and bring them to the families' doors on Thursday and Friday. A route takes about an hour. A family has Shabbat: The family lights candles and sits down to a full Shabbat meal — with dignity, and without anyone knowing who helped.

Shabbat 2 Share הוא בנק המזון של בית משיח 770. מדי שבוע המתנדבים שלנו אורזים סעודות שבת שלמות ומביאים אותן עד הדלת של משפחות ברחבי מחוז ברווארד — בכבוד וללא תשלום.

עבור משפחות רבות בדרום פלורידה, שבת היא היום הקשה ביותר בשבוע להביא אוכל לשולחן. Shabbat 2 Share קיים כדי שאף משפחה יהודית במחוז ברווארד לא תשב לשולחן ריק בליל שבת.

כל ארגז מכיל את כל מה שמשפחה צריכה לשבת שלמה: שתי חלות, מיץ ענבים לקידוש, דגים, עוף, תוספות, קינוח ופירות טריים — מספיק לארבע ארוחות. האוכל מוכן ונארז במטבח של בית משיח 770 בלודרהיל.

התוכנית פועלת כולה בכוח הקהילה: תורמים מממנים את הארגזים, מתנדבים אורזים אותם, ונהגים מתנדבים מחלקים אותם בימי חמישי ושישי. משפחה שזקוקה לעזרה פשוט ממלאת טופס קצר; רכז חוזר אליה, והארגז הראשון מגיע באותו שבוע.

Shabbat 2 Share es el banco de alimentos de 770 Moshiach Center. Cada semana nuestros voluntarios empacan comidas de Shabat completas y las llevan hasta la puerta de familias de todo el condado de Broward — con dignidad y sin costo.

Para muchas familias del sur de Florida, Shabat es el día más difícil de la semana para poner comida en la mesa. Shabbat 2 Share existe para que ninguna familia judía del condado de Broward se siente a una mesa vacía el viernes por la noche.

Cada caja contiene todo lo que una familia necesita para un Shabat completo: dos jalot trenzadas, jugo de uva para el Kidush, pescado, pollo, guarniciones, postre y fruta fresca — suficiente para cuatro comidas. La comida se prepara y empaca en la cocina de 770 Moshiach Center en Lauderhill.

El programa funciona enteramente gracias a la comunidad: los donantes patrocinan las cajas, los voluntarios las empacan y los conductores voluntarios las entregan el jueves y el viernes. Una familia que necesita ayuda solo completa un breve formulario; un coordinador la llama y la primera caja llega esa misma semana.
